NOTICE OF THE MORNING SUN III HOUSING PROJECT 4-2-2025
Mingo Economic Development Commission (MEDCO) is beginning work on development of their parcel this spring and summer. The site area is shown on the attached map. There will be 24 lots created on the parcel as shown on the attached plan. The clearing area is shaded in blue on the plan.
The first phase of the project will consist of 10 lots. The second phase will be the remaining 14 lots. The first phase will be completed by the fall of 2025 with house construction expected to start in the fall of 2025. The time to construct Phase 2 has not been determined and will depend on how quickly the lots are purchased and homes built in Phase 1.
The clearing and grubbing of shrubs and trees within the entire project (phases 1 and 2) will start in the spring of 2025. The larger trees have been cut down already with the remaining clearing work to be started in mid-April and completed by May 15th. Trees that are not within the construction area will remain. The construction zone includes the area to be graded for houses along with construction of the utilities and street.
Grading, underground utilities (water, sewer, drainage, phone, gas, electric) will start after May 15th. Construction work will be done between 7 AM and 7 PM. There will not be any night work. Contractors may elect to work on Saturday but will not be allowed to work on Sunday except for emergencies.
No parking is allowed on the side streets so the Contractors can access the site and Highway 117. Heavy trucks and equipment will access the site from Highway 117 as shown on the attached map. Only cars and pickups will be allowed to use Davenport. In wet weather heavy trucks will be allowed to use Davenport to deliver materials and supplies.
For your safety, please stay out the parcel and construction area. The Contractor has safety requirements in addition to protection of his equipment, tools and equipment.
